Kate Spade Bedding!

I love Kate Spade.  The simplistic, classic look of all of her items.  I just found out that Bed Bath and Beyond is now offering a new line of Kate Spade bedding!

I love it!  It's just so clean and cheerful!

Baby Shower Prep

Last night was a success!  Here are a few pictures from last night's prep...

Making the party favors...

This was a great find!  White chocolate in a microwavable container!

Example of the finished product.  We have to assemble the favors at the shower site to make for easy transport.

And finally the centerpieces!!  We have to actually assemble those at the shower site as well, due to the puffs not getting messed up, but I did one for practice because I wasn't sure the idea was going to work out!

This turned out to be a great alternative to flowers!  Definitely much better on the wallet!

Day of Party Planning

My entire day has been centered around party planning.  You would think I'm an event planner (in my dreams).  I have spent most of my day so far addressing invites for my Grandma's 85th birthday party.  She's one popular lady!  So far I've done 100 invites!

This evening I will be working on decor and favors for a baby shower on Saturday.  I made these, with the help from my sister, in the office the other day

Tonights duties include tying ribbon around 12 vases and 48 mason jars, and making 144 pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate then dipped in sprinkles!

Venting Sesh

As of late, I have really gotten into online shopping.  It's just so convenient.  I can do it while working (don't tell my boss), or while at home cuddled up on the couch.  Clearly a downside is that you don't get your purchases right away, but most of the time I'm not in any hurry for them.  

Although I love online shopping, I can definitely say that I will not be ordering online from J Crew ever again.  The past few times I have ordered from them they have cancelled part of my order.  Last week I ordered some white jeans (on a fabulous sale), and a classic black skinny belt.  Today I get an e-mail from J Crew saying...

I mean really?!  So I went online to check my credit card statement, and the entire purchase is off my credit card.  So now I'm thinking I will be getting another e-mail stating that my white jeans are no longer available as well.  Last time I shop from J Crew's website!  So disappointed...

Not to continue online shopping bashing, because I seriously do love it, but I ordered a pair of shoes off of Hautelook on June 24th and they STILL haven't shipped.  Come on people, that's almost an entire month!! 

Has anyone else had trouble with online shopping lately?!

Today is my Friday :)

So life has been super busy lately with PJP moving in, planning wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties ect...  So I am super excited that today is my Friday and I get to enjoy a long weekend!

PJP's birthday is Saturday so we are heading to my parents bay house tonight.  This will be my view until Sunday!

Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things next week!

Illegal?!

Yes, it is illegal to not have hand railings on stairs in the State of Virginia, and yes, I disobeyed the law for all 3 and a half years I've owned my house.  I actually bought the house without front porch railings.  I have no idea how that got through inspection, but it did, and my insurance company charged me a higher premium for not having them.  Lovely...

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay to get them done!!

(Please excuse the dead fern - Life has been crazy, and therefore all my plants have died)

PJP and I are planning on painting the railings and the porch this weekend.  We shall see if the weather holds out.  I'll post final pictures soon!
