A Few Things Today...

I came across this picture-
{on this blog}
And I think I'm going to ask PJP if he would like to install some shelves under our Jack & Jill sinks so we can store our towels and such there instead of the idea I had in the post below...  This would definitely be much cheaper!  I vote Yes!

I purchased this book from Amazon

Because it's cute!

Begged PJP to buy this bed, which I found on Craigslist, for our upstairs guest room...
Still waiting on a reply...

That's all for now...
Hope you've had a wonderful day!

Progress

This has been a very busy week for me!  Suzanne and I have been working a lot on our new company - official name: Organizational Consulting, LLC!  We have gotten a lot finalized on that, and she came by on Monday night to help me with organizing my closet.  I don't have a before photo because, to be quite honest, it was pretty embarrassing.  So you can somewhat have a before photo in your head here's a slight description...  My closet is quite large.  I had tons of clothes taking up both sides, shoes all over the floor, sheets and towels on the floor because I had no where else to put them (which Duke frequently made into a bed in the closet), and purses and other accessories just scattered around on the floor as well.  Here's the update!

(sorry about the picture quality - from my iphone)
My side - color coordinated of course- with shoes neatly stacked above on the shelf, and the remainder of my shoes (only tennis shoes, boots, and flip flips) are now neatly placed on the floor below my clothes.  PJP's side is now completely ready for him!
I donated 4 bags of clothing to Goodwill, and I have 3 bags full to try to sell!  Definite progress made.  Rightfully so, it took us 3 hours!

One of my next projects (I have too many) will be to find a small dresser-like piece for my upstairs hallway to store the sheets and towels since I don't have a linen closet.  I'm thinking something like this:
I'll keep y'all updated on my find!

For The Love Of Ikat

I am absolutely in love with all things Ikat.
There are just so many fabulous prints and color combos.

I am starting to think that when I re-do my master bedroom (hopefully in a year or so) I really want to do Ikat bedding.
Here are some that I like:

I even love this idea!

To frame Ikat fabic and use it as art work!

Love, love, love! Happy Weekend!!

Speaking of Organization...

It's as if your shoes are art work!  Love, love, love!
I feel as though I need this in my closet...If only I had enough room...  Maybe one day?!

Pizza Tonight RVA!

Last night Suzanne and I had our first official business meeting, and she brought pizza!
Since I have to eat gluten free, she recently found Pizza Tonight at a local farmers market in Richmond, and they offer fresh gluten free pizza!  They make real pizzas right there on the spot in a pizza oven, or you can order Pizza Packet's to go so you can make your own pizzas at home!  Luckily they sell a Gluten Free Pizza Packet so those of us who cannot eat normal pizza can still enjoy a freshly made pizza.  They make their own mozzarella, red sauce (or white, whichever you prefer), and then you can add your own toppings!  Last night we added fresh basil from Suzanne's home grown herb garden!

Here's how it turned out!

**Disclaimer - the Pizza Packet came with 2 doughs, which we decided to combine into one big dough for a pizza to share!

It was delicious and awesome to be using fresh local ingredients!!
You can find out where they will be located here

Kasey's Bridal Shower!

Over the weekend my mom, myself, and the bride's sister Mallory hosted a shower for my dear friend Kasey!  She is getting married in Mexico in September so we decided on a beachy theme.  Here are a few pictures from the shower!

The spread included mini crab cakes, ham biscuits, deviled eggs, broiled asparagus, avocado pesto stuffed tomatoes, meatballs, baked brie, chocolate dipped strawberries, and of course a cake!

(That's supposed to be coral on top!)

Our theme was derived from the Caspari napkins!

Our signature drink was a "Blushing Bride Martini" - Pink lemonade and Vodka

Best friends since high school! (With our beautiful moms!)

Can't wait for Mexico!  XOXO

Organization!

June 25th is the big day!  PJP moves in! :)  We are so ready for this day mentally, BUT my house needs a little help with organization to make him feel as though his things have their place too.  My friend Suzanne and I are beginning a Professional Organizing company (currently in the works) so she is going to help me get organized for the big move in!  Here are some items I'm highly considering to help in the organization process:

(All pictures are from The Container Store)
I will be organizing my closet, dresser, and pantry/fridge.  For those of you that know me, these are serious undertakings!  I have an insane amount of clothes and shoes, which PJP has been trying his best to have me cut down on my buying (not happening!), and as for my pantry/fridge, I'm organizing that since I am gluten free and PJP is not.

Stay tuned for before and after photos, and for information on mine and Suzanne's new company The Neat Space!
